Introduction to Steaming Rice

Cooking rice is a process that requires more attention to ensure that rice is cooked properly. Steaming is one of the best way to cook rice. The right amount of water is important in cooking the rice perfectly. Traditional rice steaming is done by placing a pot or bowl containing dry rice into a food steamer. A small amount of salt is added to the water, allowing the water to boil and the steam to soothes in. Steaming rice was first introduced in China, and has spread worldwide.
